Undefeated Canada Beats El Salvador To Maintain Lead In CONCACAF World Cup qualifying
Team Canada scored twice on Wednesday evening to beat El Salvador in Estadio Cuscatlán to become on the verge of World Cup finals in Qatar next November.
Atiba Hutchinson scored the opener in the 66th minute, while Jonathan David secured the victory in stoppage time.
Canada’s record remains clear of any losses as their tally of points raised to 25 and maintains their four-point lead at the top of the CONCACAF qualifying table.
The United States is second in the group with 21 points after a home victory against Honduras.
Canada will face Costa Rica next month, the game which could be decisive in the qualifying race.
