The Moroccan Association of Toronto (AMDT) Expresses Heartfelt Condolences for Tragic Earthquake in Morocco and Launches Relief Initiatives
The Moroccan Association of Toronto (AMDT) extends its deepest condolences to the people of
Morocco and those affected by the devastating earthquake that struck the region on September 8th,
2023. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families during this challenging time.
The September 8th, 2023 earthquake has left a profound impact on Morocco, causing loss of lives,
widespread damage, and immense suffering. In solidarity with Morocco, the AMDT is committed to
supporting relief efforts and providing assistance to those in need.
To aid the families affected by this tragedy and support the reconstruction of homes, the AMDT has
initiated a fundraising campaign. We invite everyone to contribute to this vital cause and help those
in Morocco rebuild their lives by e- transfer to info@amdt.ca to make a donation
Additionally, the AMDT will open its doors starting tomorrow for in-person donations by cheques or
cash at the following times:
● Sunday, September 10th : 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
● Monday, Sept. 11th – Friday, Sept. 15th: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
We gratefully welcome your support and contributions during these hours.
We also work in close collaboration with all Moroccan and Arab organizations and associations across
Canada to unite our efforts to provide the broadest possible support to those affected.
We are also counting on the support of different levels of the Canadian government to help us better
meet the needs of affected populations.
