Ontario Soccer program seeks to let young women give back to the game in Niagara

16- and 17-year-olds learn to coach younger players

Sixteen- and 17-year-old girls, including several who play Ontario Player Development League (OPDL) soccer for Niagara Falls FC, spent Saturday on the turf pitch at E.E. Mitchelson Park.

While that is one of the fields used by the Niagara Falls Soccer Club for home games, the setting for the day-long BMO Girls Play ON! Soccer Clinic didn’t feel like home for Melaina Langkamer and Michaiah Ivri.
