Our intention for the event is to take away the mystery of how to pitch to the media, and make valuable connections with like-minded women who can help you grow your business.

Gwen is the creator/host of Start Something Big! TV and Radio, which features successful entrepreneurs, musicians, artists and visionaries, telling their unique story of how they started their career. Gwen has worked on numerous television shows both in front of the camera and behind the scenes. She has worked behind the scenes for shows like George Stroumboulopoulos Tonight, CBC’s The Big Decision and Canadian Idol, and on-air segments for MuchMusic, Toronto Fashion Week, and Rogers Television. A highlight of her career was presenting a TEDx talk on the topic of Start Something Big!, and next up she’s writing a Start Something Big! book. About Shannon Skinner

Shannon Skinner is the creator and host of the broadcast and web TV talk show, Extraordinary Women TV with Shannon Skinner – now airing weekly on Rogers TV Cable 10 & 63 in Toronto/Scarborough.Over the past few years, Shannon has interviewed hundreds of influential women from Toronto and across Canada, including business leaders, personal transformation leaders, entertainers, rock stars, best-selling authors, artists, activists, humanitarians, visionaries and Olympic athletes. Shannon gets to the heart of what inspires her guests to inspire the hearts of others.She is also author of The Whispering Heart: Your Inner Guide to Creativity, an inspirational speaker, and a contributing blogger to The Huffington Post where you can read about her insights and interviews.
