There is a new social media problem in Steubenville, Ohio.  Police arrested two teens for threatening “Jane Doe,” the victim in the Steubenville rape trial.
Ma’Lik Richmond and Trent Mays were convicted Sunday of raping the 16-year-old last August.  Mays was also convicted of sharing racy pictures of the girl on social media and in text messages.
But just hours after the boys’ convictions, teenagers in Ohio took to Twitter.  They threatened to hurt, even kill, the victim.  One of the tweets read, “You ripped my family apart, you made my cousin cry, so when I see you [expletive] it’s gone be a homicide.”   Police arrested a 16-year-old girl for that tweet and charged her with aggravated menacing for threatening the victim’s life.  A 15-year-old girl was also charged with threatening the girl with bodily harm.
On Raising America with Kyra Phillips, Kyra discussed with her panel, why teens in Steubenville “just don’t get it.”
