Chef Albert said that his journey in Canada began with a private business in catering before opening “KARAS Shawarma”, when he found that there was a desire from the Egyptian community to have Egyptian food. He added that the success he achieved from serving Egyptian food prompted him to search for a larger place for his services, stressing that partnering with a well-known company that it`s owner “DJ WIWA” is a very well-known figure for DJing and has many followers in all of Toronto & Canada is a win-win situation.

Chef Albert has over 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry and catering to major international hotels, ensuring that his high-quality standards are met. He worked as Executive Chef at the Sheraton Hotel for many years and had relationships with many famous Egyptian artists.

For his part, DJ WIWA, the founder & Owner of ELITE Weddings & Events, said that partnering with KARAS Egyptian Restaurant is a great opportunity, stressing that he has many plans to enhance the location and space of KARAS Egyptian Restaurant and to take advantage of it to hold concerts, engagements, weddings, and other more special events.
