Join CBC Celebrating 50 Years of Jamaican Independence

 As the official media partner of Jamaica 50, CBC Toronto will have special programming
to celebrate Jamaica’s 50 years of independence. Starting this weekend,
it will all culminate with the Jamaica Land We Love Gala on Saturday,
August 11 (for which you can win tickets).

Canada’s biggest city is hosting some of the largest (and best) events to
mark the anniversary of independence on August 6, and CBC Toronto want
you to join in the fun. As well as highlights of the Jamaica Land We Love Gala
on CBC Television, CBC News Toronto at 5pm will bring you stories
about Jamaicans in Toronto – including their own Dwight Drummond –
