Egyptian Ambassador Takes Part in Coptic Christmas service in Toronto, Mississauga

Egypt’s ambassador to Canada, Ahmed Hafez, participated on Friday, in the Coptic Christmas at the Cathedral in Toronto and the at the Virgin Mary and St. Athanasius Coptic Church in Mississauga, amid a huge presence of the Egyptian community.
Ambassador Ahmed Hafez conveyed the greetings of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi on this occasion saying: “As we celebrate Coptic Christmas, I would like to offer my best wishes to the people of Egypt and our nation. This occasion is a reminder to stay united by the love we have for our nation. We are on the right path of citizenship. We will not deviate from humanitarian coexistence and the deep-rooted belief in the unity of the nation and humanity. This is an opportunity to be reinspired by the teachings of Jesus about love, tolerance, forgiveness, and benevolence. I wish you all peace and may Egypt always remain safe.”
In the Coptic Cathedral, Ambassador Ahmed Hafez was present with His Grace Bishop Archilides, with the participation of the leader of the Canadian opposition Conservative Party Pierre Poilievre, , and a group of Canadian parliamentarians and officials, including MPP Sheref Sabawy.
The Egyptian ambassador also participated in the celebrations at the Mississauga Church, with more participating officials such as the Canadian Minister of Transport Omar Alghabra, the Mayor of Mississauga, Bonnie Crombie, and other Canadian parliamentarians and public figures.
