The Creative School at Toronto Metropolitan University (Ryerson Cairo), hosted by the Universities of Canada in Egypt, has announced their latest collaboration.
Named after the iconic Toronto neighbourhood, The Junction Summer Sessions are a place where creative minds meet. In advance of the September 2022 launch of their new branch campus in Cairo’s New Administrative Capital, this collaboration will share the industry-ready curriculum and expertise of Toronto’s Metropolitan University with The GrEEK Campus community and beyond in a series of workshops and events, according to a press release.
As the name “The Junction” suggests, this new and ambitious collaboration between The GrEEK Campus and The Creative School aims to bridge Canada with Egypt, Downtown with the New Administrative Capital, theory with practice, and industry with academia.
The partnership kicked off with a special “Meet the Creative School” event on June 21, to introduce The Creative School’s team and inaugural programs in Media Production, Sports Media, and Fashion.
Invited experts discussed also The Creative Industries in Egypt in two dedicated panels: “The Next Generation” and “Breaking Boundaries”.
