Sears Canada Inc. today announced the grand opening of the first Corbeil store to be located in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) in Vaughan, Ontario. This 6,800 square foot store is the first of four Corbeil locations opening in the GTA this year, with three additional locations set to open in Richmond Hill, Burlington, and Mississauga.

Known for its commitment to quality, selection, style and customer service, Corbeil offers a wide array of high-quality and energy efficient large and small appliances. Corbeil also provides exceptional kitchen design services (cabinets and counters), quick delivery of its customers’ new appliances, and free collection of their old ones. The retailer’s popular 36-month interest-free financing plan will be available in the GTA.

Corbeil has been one of Canada’s preeminent appliance specialists since 1949, with stores in almost every region of Quebec. Now breaking into the GTA market, the Corbeil network includes over 30 locations, making it the largest network of stores in Canada specializing in appliances. The newly launched store is located at 255 Bass Pro Mills Drive in Vaughan.

Corbeil was added to the Sears portfolio through the purchase of Cantrex Group in 2005. In April, Sears announced the agreement to sell its Cantrex Group operations to Nationwide Marketing Group, LLC, while maintaining ownership of Corbeil Electrique Inc.
