CEHA Gala Dinner Honors Participants of Egyptian Heritage Month

The Canadian Egyptian Heritage Association (CEHA), on Thursday, organized its appreciation gala dinner to honor those who took part in the Egyptian Heritage Month activities in July.

The event was attended by leading figures in the Egyptian community, sponsors, as well as MPP Sheref Sabawy.

Key Speakers include Dr. Magdi Nashaat, President of the association, Albert Fahmi, Director of Public Relations at CEHA, MPP Sheref Sabawy, and Magdi Yashoua, who thanked the attendees for their significant role played to render the Egyptian Heritage Month a success.

The Legislative assembly of Ontario has unanimously passed on Thursday, June 6, 2019, the second reading of Bill 106 – proclaiming the month of July of each year as “Egyptian Heritage Month”. Bill-106 is the private member bill tabled by Sheref Sabawy, Member of Provincial Parliament for Mississauga – Erin Mills.

Bill-106 gives Egyptian-Canadians their well-earned and deserved recognition in the history of Canada, and is an essential tool to show the importance of the influence and impact that they have made on all aspects of life in Canada and Ontario.
