on 2012-08-08 2:07:00 PMToronto-based daily deal website WagJag revealed today that it has bought Yellow Media’s Deal of the Day business.
Financial terms of the deal, which will amp up WagJag’s subscriber list, were not disclosed. The company says the integration of Deal of the Day with WagJag.com will be complete within a “few weeks.”
“WagJag remains committed to delivering the most exciting offers across Canada in our local, travel, grocery and golf verticals. We warmly welcome the Deal of the Day members,” says Jeremy Zuker, the president of WagJag.
Until the transition is finished, Deal of the Day will remain operational and its members will continue to have access to their accounts and to their vouchers, WagJag affirms. Further, all the vouchers purchased from Deal of the Day will be honoured by the merchants according to the existing terms and conditions and will be accessible by Deal of the Day members until their voucher expires, the Canadian startup explains.
Since WagJag’s launch in December 2010, the site has sold more than 2.6 million vouchers, representing over 200 million dollars in savings for its 2.2 million subscribers across Canada
